John Pye is a seasoned executive chef with over 35
years of industry experience across Australia, the
UK, and Europe. He has held significant roles in
various high-profile venues, consistently delivering
creative and exceptional culinary experiences that
exceed client expectations. Notable positions include
Group Executive Chef for the Hugo’s Restaurant
Group, Hospitality Consultant for the Russolini
Group, and Executive Chef at Watsons Bay Boutique
Hotel and Doltone House Group, as well as 5* hotels
in Europe

Throughout his career, John has demonstrated
expertise in developing and implementing new
menus, designing commercial kitchens, and
managing multiple kitchen operations.

His achievements include introducing innovative food
service technology to enhance efficiency and reduce
waste, and receiving accolades such as Winner of
Boutique Wedding Caterer of the Year 2015 , Best
Function and Convention Caterer NSW in 2011, and a
Chef’s Hat from the Sydney Morning Herald Good
Food Guide for consecutive years.

John holds a NSW Food Handlers Supervisors
Certificate and a First Aid Certificate from St John’s
Ambulance, underscoring his commitment to
maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
